Earlier today, the Head of the State House Diaspora Unit, Mr. Mohammed Bagonza, met with leaders of Ugandans in China, including Carlos Ogik, the representative of Ugandans in Northern China, and Dr. Doreen Akunda, President of the China Alumni Association in Uganda. They discussed uniting Ugandans in China under one umbrella and leveraging the skills and expertise of those who have studied in China.

They also advocated for identifying and profiling Ugandans who have acquired skills from China and are now back home, so the government can better tap into their expertise for national development.
Also present at the meeting were Mr Henry Wabyona, the Deputy Head of the Diaspora Unit and the Unit's Liaison Officer Topher Matsiko.
