The discussions focused on the successful launch of the 1st Uganda Cultural and Tourism Festival, held from June 26–28, 2026, in Munich, with plans to establish it as an annual event to showcase Uganda's rich cultural heritage, vibrant tourism offerings, and investment potential to the German market.

H.E. Ambassador Stephen Mubiru emphasised that Uganda's diverse cultural heritage presents significant opportunities for expanding cooperation in key sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, trade, and the creative industries.

He noted that cultural diplomacy serves as a powerful bridge for strengthening bilateral relations while creating new opportunities for business partnerships and investment.

The Ambassador further encouraged both Uganda and Germany to continue showcasing their unique cultural traditions, deepen people-to-people exchanges, and build lasting partnerships that contribute to mutual economic growth and sustainable development.

In the same spirit, Mr Mohammad Bagonza commended the Ugandan diaspora for their continued contribution to national development and called upon Ugandans living abroad to actively explore more opportunities that support Uganda's economic transformation.

He stressed that the diaspora remains an important partner in promoting Uganda's image, attracting investment, boosting tourism, and strengthening international networks.

The podcast formed part of the activities surrounding the inaugural Uganda Cultural and Tourism Festival and reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to making the festival an annual platform for promoting Uganda's culture, tourism, trade, and investment opportunities in Germany and across Europe. #UgandaDiaspora
