The meeting focused on key development issues affecting Ugandans living and working in Qatar, with an emphasis on strengthening collaboration to enhance the welfare and protection of migrant workers across the Gulf region. Mr. Bagonza reaffirmed the Unit’s commitment to supporting structured diaspora engagement and ensuring that Ugandans abroad remain active contributors to national development.
During the interaction, the UGACOQ executive committee, led by its President Mr. Saul Rayan Aliguma, presented Mr. Bagonza with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of his unwavering dedication and invaluable support to the Ugandan diaspora community in Qatar.
The gesture was a sign of the strong partnership between the State House Diaspora Unit, the Embassy of Uganda in Qatar, and the Ugandan Community, anchoring a shared vision for a united, empowered, and well-supported diaspora.
